CE Labels

CE Labels are used on products to show they are verified with the regulations of European Conformity.
CE Marking labels which are placed on a product are a manufacturer's confirmation that the product conforms to the necessary requirements of the relevant European Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Legislation.
CE Markings formerly known as EC Marks, is a compulsory conformity marking for products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1993.

The letters "CE" are the abbreviation of the French phrase "Conformité Européene" which literally means "European Conformity". The term initially used was "EC Mark" and it was officially replaced by "CE Marking" in the Directive 93/68/EEC in 1993.
